Located on the opposite end of the grounds from the main house, the studio apartment is a charming getaway for a smaller group. Formerly an artist’s studio in the early 1900’s, the quarters are located on the second floor of the entry hall surrounded by tropical gardens and Jamaican Palms. The first floor contains the entrance to the property which is flanked on either side by an office/computer room and a small single room that is rented separately.
The interior of the apartment has a gentlemen’s quarters decor with 11 ft. ceilings, brick walls with built-in bookcases, and a fireplace complete with African shield and spears above it. The main room scomfortably sleeps 4 on one queen size bed and 2 single daybeds. There is also a sitting area in front of the fireplace, as well as, a leather covered dining table and chairs. It also contains a small modest kitchen and a bathroom with a glass brick walk-in shower. The large paned windows ofer a lovely view of the gardens back-dropped by the mountain side speckled with clay rooves and flowering trees. The third floor includes a covered patio and a roof-top terrazzo with panoramic views of the city of Taxco. Enjoy a book by the fire, or an evening stroll to a nearby restaurant. Privacy, character and a piece of history are here for your pleasure.
